L'Amande is one of the five oldest soap brands in the world. It was founded in Marseille, France in 1884, and later crossed mountains and rivers to Italy due to World War I, and also introduced soap-making technology, and began to take root in Italy. For more than a century, L'Amande has been synonymous with quality in the great tradition of Mediterranean soapmaking. Today L'Amande soap is still produced in cauldrons, using the traditional method, where oils and raw materials are simmered over a fierce fire for six days and nights. The solid soap that made L'Amande famous in France in the late 1800s was gradually joined by real liquid soap, face cream, shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, lipstick, perfume and many other products, while still maintaining L'Amande's consistent high quality.
To commemorate its 140th anniversary, L'Amande has launched a special series of nostalgic retro products, using advertising patterns from 140 years ago to commemorate the old times.
